Dobbs Ferry Shade Garden

Lots of deep colors in this dreamy shade garden in Dobbs Ferry. The homeowners recently completed a major renovation and I wanted to give them an entrance garden that was as dramatic as the architecture. Set underneath a big oak tree, this spot gets a little morning sun but is mostly in shade during the day. We pulled out two invasive Burning Bush (Euonymus) shrubs and replaced with an evergreen Viburnum and a dark and stormy selection of shade-loving perennials and shrubs.
